About Janet Novotny:
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) - Illinois License #227.015558, Licensed Esthetician (LE) - Illinois License #131.013304, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), Traditional Naturopath, Reiki Master & Teacher, Certified Reflexologist, and Loomis Digestive Health Specialist. In addition, I have completed 8 levels of Tuning Fork Therapy training and am certified for each level. I am also certified in DNA Tuning Fork Therapy and Solfeggio Tuning Fork Therapy, Bach Flower Therapy and Raindrop Therapy.

I completed my massage training at the School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology in Downers Grove, IL. and am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). I completed the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Soderworld Wellness Center and Academy in Hinsdale, IL. I have also completed my 500 Hour Teacher Training for Yoga at Prairie Yoga in Lisle, IL.

In August 2018, I graduated from the Basic, Advanced and Medical Esthetics program at Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove, IL. I did very well on the Illinois State Board Exam and am now an officially Licensed Esthetician! I decided to go to school for esthetics because of my fascination with learning how to help people look and feel better. I already know how to feed the skin and body to maintain optimal health. However, I know there is always more to learn, so I wanted to be trained and educated at one of the best schools in the area. I learned how to treat the skin and get it healthier. I also learned how to reverse the signs of aging with proper maintenance and advanced skin care products and techniques. In school, I learned basic, advanced and medical training on treating, maintaining and improving the skin.

Ever since I first started learning about Energy Work and doing treatments for people, I have always been open to learning about new ways to diversify my client’s treatment options by training in other modalities of treatment. It is this diversified training that sets me apart from many other LMTs (Licensed Massage Therapists) that only focus strictly on massage. I am passionate about assisting people with the various holistic wellness modalities that I have trained for and became certified in. My ultimate goal is to help people have a more balanced life through holistic support and encouragement. I want to aid people in naturally aligning their body, mind and soul so all three can function in harmony with each other.

When a client books a massage appointment and comes in to my Holistic Wellness Center, they get much more than they would at one of the large massage chains or from a less trained massage therapist. I use organic lotions and oils and high quality essential oils at no extra charge. I will add hot therapy or cold therapy treatments when needed at no extra charge.

My approach has always been centered upon total body wellness for each and every one of my clients. Depending on each of my client’s individual needs (based on what they say they need help with and what I sense from them) I can treat them with elements from any combination of the modalities I am trained on …many times without any extra charges. These value-added services are what set me apart from many other Massage Therapists.

I do not believe in a “cookie cutter” approach to total body wellness, because every person is different and has different needs. However, any treatment I would like to add is always thoroughly explained and cleared with them beforehand. For example, when a client comes in for their massage appointment, I always ask them if they are experiencing any special aches or pains before I start working on anything. If they say their shoulder is causing them pain and they don’t know why, I can combine massage with a targeted cupping treatment, or a Tuning Fork treatment, or Reiki (Energy Work) to give them the additional help they need to feel better during their session in the time frame they booked with no extra charge.

It is this form of customized treatment that helps my clients achieve overall wellness. If a client really likes one of the treatments I add-on during their session, they also have the option to schedule another full session appointment which would be centered upon that specific form of treatment.

Welcome!
