Cupping Therapy:

Here are the descriptions of the many forms of Cupping Therapy and what they can do for you:

Cellulite Cupping
This negative pressure technique can be used in the treatment of cellulite. Light pressure cupping provides powerful, targeted lymphatic drainage. Heavier pressure applications can also be used to stimulate circulation and loosen the connective tissues to reduce or eliminate that orange peel appearance. You will start to notice the difference in the appearance of your cellulite only after regular treatments after approximately 2-3 weeks. Since every body is different, the time it takes for you to notice these changes may vary.

Facial Cupping
Women in Europe, Asia, and Russia have been taking advantage of the many benefits of Facial Cupping for years. It helps them rejuvenate and maintain their youthful appearance without the injection of harmful chemicals found in treatments such as Botox. This method of cupping is performed by using small cups to vacuum and lift facial tissue, mimicking the pumping movements of lymphatic drainage. The many benefits include improved local circulation of the skin, increased nutrients brought to the epidermis, and enhanced absorption of facial topicals. The drainage of stagnant fluids will reduce edema (swelling) and chronic puffiness. Lines and wrinkles will plump while scar tissue will soften from the negative pressure, making it an exceptionally powerful and surprisingly relaxing enhancement to advanced facial treatments. The muscles of the face benefit greatly from the reduction of tension and tightness, releasing expression lines and loosening rigid muscles associated with Temporomandibular Joint and Muscle (TMJ) disorders. Sinus infections and inflammation are also directly relieved by the loosening and draining effects of the cups.

Foot Cupping
Foot Cupping is a powerful combination of Biomagnetic Reflexology, Dynamic Cupping, and Plantar Fascial Release on your feet and the lower compartments of your legs. Reflexology is the science based on reflexes on the feet, hands, ears and face which correspond to all the glands, organs and other parts of the body. It is a natural, noninvasive way of stimulating internal organs, increasing circulation and restoring bodily functions back to normal. When combined with Cupping, Reflexology treatments are enhanced with HACI Magnetic Acupressure Suction Cups (MASC). These Biomagnetic tools can be used for addressing joint discomfort, and Acupressure or acupuncture points, which are called in Shiatsu Tsubos. Reflexology can reduce stress, relieve pain, increase energy, improve circulation, cleanse the body of toxins, improve health, strengthen the immune system, and enhance creativity and productivity. Reflexology can also assist in weight loss and in overcoming addictions.

Abdominal Cupping
Cupping is an excellent therapy for the belly. It stretches the walls of the organs, getting rid of stagnant waste and mucus and promotes the overall activity of digestion.
After an abdominal cupping session, people consistently report expelling an excess amount of waste immediately following treatments and an increase of eliminations throughout the day. Abdominal Cupping is successfully being used to help in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Constipation, Diarrhea, Abdominal Distention and acidity.

TMJ & Sinus Release Cupping
Suction helps to open up the joint and loosen the muscles and facsia around the jaw. Used in tandem with joint manipulation, the pressure and pain associated with TMJ disorders are relieved as inflammation is decreased and nerves relax. Cupping should not be done over an infected tooth since this can cause the infection can spread.

Orthopedic Cupping
Orthopedic Cupping is an important part of caring for sprains, tendonitis and many other injuries. When you’re injured, scar tissues can limit your amount of movement, and your level of functioning. When this happens, muscle tightness will begin and your body will start to compensate for everything that isn’t working properly thus causing more pain. With Orthopedic Cupping, part of your healing therapy spasms will be decreased and muscle tone and length can be restored. This is important in order to increase blood flow and nutrients to that specific injury site which supports the healing of the body.

Detoxification Cupping
A common misconception is that the marks on your skin which occur following a Detoxification Cupping treatment are bruises. Unless the Cupping was done too strong, no bruising occurs. These marks left behind under the skin are caused by stagnation, dead cellular debris, pathogenic factors, and most importantly - Toxins being drawn out of the biosystem. Some capillary seepage may occur, but it is minimal compared to the amount of acidic agents being removed from your body. Blood tests have been done with shocking results following a Detoxification Cupping treatment to measure the levels of toxins, pesticides and acids being drawn out of the body. These tests prove that nothing pulls out more free radical, poisonous molecular debris better than a Detoxification Cupping treatment. This whole-body detoxification contributes to your overall health and well-being.

Lymphatic Drainage Cupping
Compared to the tediously slow compression work of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping Therapy does the opposite. Cupping stretches open the lymphatic vessels, rather than closing them. This action actually increases the movement of lymph locally and systemically with cumulative treatments. Increasing Lymphatic output increases the immune systems ability to detoxify the body and respond to stressors put onto it from disease, chemicals, stress and electromagnetic fields. Lymphatic Drainage using Cupping helps to speed regeneration of tissues and cells. Post surgery, a person should wait at least 6 weeks before getting a lymphatic cupping session, or until a doctor clears the patient to receive one.

A Word on Cupping Marks
The most common misunderstanding concerning Cupping is the misinterpretations of the marks that sometimes result. These marks are NOT Bruises! When circulation is sluggish or compromised in an injured or diseased area of the body, insufficient oxygen gets to the cells. This results in a local build-up of waste products such as dead, static blood, lymph, cellular debris, and toxins. Cupping can leave marks which indicates that the stagnation or disease has been moved from the deeper tissue layers to the surface, allowing fresh oxygenated blood to nourish and heal the underlying areas. Any suction device left long enough in one place will loosen and pull these agents out & up to the skin’s surface. The color and pattern of the marks depend on the level of stagnation in the area, and range from a bright red to dark purple, usually lasting 3 days to a week – sometimes longer if the person is very sick or sedentary. If there is no stagnation present, there will be only a light pink mark which disappears in a few minutes to a couple of hours. Sites where there is old trauma or injury may require multiple cupping treatments to remove all stagnation. You will find in follow up treatments the marks will be visibly lighter and lighter as the pathogens are systemically removed from the body.
